I began keeping a journal within days of my daughter Isabelle’s death to SIDS in 2007, and many of those journal entries appear in “Only God Knows Why.” Writing has always been my outlet, but I wasn’t sure that writing a book about my loss was a good idea. Then, on Christmas Eve 2009, I was given pretty direct instructions from God and Isabelle to “write that book,” so I did. My hope for “Only God Knows Why” is that my struggles with faith, grief, relationships and finding the purpose for my life will help others to know that they’re never alone in this journey.
