Today’s featured Still Listening song is “I Will Carry You” by Selah. One of our most-suggested songs, the lyrics will likely speak to many mothers out there. “There were photographs I wanted to take / things I wanted to show you, / sing sweet lullabies, wipe your teary eyes, / who could love you like this? / People say that I am brave but I’m not, / truth is I’m barely hanging on.” Mention your special song in the comments, and remember to follow our Spotify account ( where you can hear more songs, listen to playlists, or add to our ever growing list of community-generated songs for parents experiencing loss.

Sunshine by Jake Miller is a song sung by a someone who lost a friend and they are talking about life with them and what that friend meant to everyone, including the parents of the friend. The song could have been written for our boy, he was 20 when we lost him and he was beloved by many people. He truly was sunshine in every life he touched!
